The roof, the fifth facade of a building. An unseen, unshown surface.
What can be seen from above is often unpredictable from below.

A poorly closed building door, another slightly ajar, is an invitation to look. The higher it is, the more beautiful it becomes — the more it is elsewhere.

Descending back to the street means giving up the view of the horizon, returning to the norm, getting back in line (while floating).

What appears in these images is only part of the adventure. Photography is just a detail. Climbing the floors, entering new worlds, making encounters.

Personal project underway, initiated in 2007. The style and photographic technique have evolved over the years.

Ce qui sera vu d’en haut est souvent imprévisible depuis en bas.

Une porte d’immeuble mal fermée, une autre qui s’entrouvre, c’est une invitation à aller voir. Plus c’est haut plus c’est beau – plus c’est ailleurs.

Redescendre dans la rue, après, c’est abandonner la vue sur l’horizon, retrouver la norme, se remettre dans le rang (en planant).

Ce qu’il y a sur ces images n’est qu’une partie de l’aventure. La photo n’est qu’accessoire. Grimper les étages, pénétrer des univers. Faire des rencontres.
